Utility to copy file permissions

Hi all,

We've got a server which we are decomisioning, and need to transfer the data off. However we need to make sure the file permissions for the domain users are copied across correctly. Any ideas?

NT4 -> Server 2003

Use xcopy with the /O switch

Copies ownership and ACL info.

I can't remember exactly but isn't there a migration tool in 2003?

the Xcopy thing will work though, used that before to copy stuff off one NT server to another "newer" NT box.

Hmm if there is then its more evidence that Microsoft are dumbing down sysadmin work!

Xcopy is the REAL sysadmins tool of choice in this scenario!

Ok it seems I lied lol. Its moving from NT4 to a Netapp Ontap Filer.
