Utopia (ch 4)

Just finished Ep01 and I'm hooked. Think I may have to watch Ep02 before I go to bed. Anyone else been to the homepage and taken the test? Very interesting how easy it would be to track you down. it would take 47+hrs to track me apparently!

With the opening of tonight's episode with a gunman killing children in a school at random, the media are going to have a field day on this show and Channel 4 tomorrow. A very brave move by the Channel 4 Commisoner to let it be shown.

I've really enjoyed the first two episodes of this.. Really well shot, quite dark and something a bit different!

Spoiler tags please some of us dont get to watch it when it airs! :(

I absolutely love the camera work, how every scene is filmed. Anyone else notice that they up the gamma on the outside scenes? It's like the grass is radioactive!

The bumbling bad guy is awesome too, very cold.

And...

Come on mate, it's a fairly safe assumption that the discussion in the thread would be in line with the episodes as they are aired... I managed to hold back reading the thread for an hour...

I'm sorry, but simply don't read the thread until you've watched the latest episode that has just aired then. What did you expect people to be discussing...

I'm outraged at their outrage :p Was a bit harrowing though, I'll admit. Still, context is the key here. Even the cold blooded hitman was affected by his own actions.

Anyway, back to the show. *Spoilers incoming* for those who haven't watched it yet!

Was anyone else a little baffed by him not killing Jessica or am I missing something?
I get that he sensed something of a kindred spirit though. Was there anything more to it than that?

I love the way that this show is filmed. I really like the way it's filmed from a slight distance, like a fly on the wall, and everything is shadow with little or no movement. A lot of the scenes have a foreground or running parallel lines.
It's very surreal and adds a lot to the story.

Watched EP1 last night and loved it, It's visually stunning and feels like Cronenbergs Videodrome meets Human Traffic.

Cannot wait to watch the next one tonight.

Yeah, clearly something more to it given that he had spent so much time looking for her and then their conversation.

Yeah, that line was the interesting part.
It could be interpreted in a few different ways I guess.

It also seemed like more of a statement than a question.

.*Spoilers*
At first I thought Arbi recognised her as they may have been siblings and she had just been using the Jessica Hyde name to lure him. They had both talked a little bit about there parents in that episode.

Then again not sure if Arbi is just coming to terms with what his makers have made him into after the school incident.
