Utopia Kingdoms - Browser based RTS

I played Utopia from ages 7 until 27, was in the winning kingdom for 3 ages on the trot and 9 times in total. I was in and out of top kingdoms as Brit players were rare, so i got traded about a lot.

Met a lot of awesome people through that game, but invested an awful lot of time into it too ;)

not sure how i feel about this new graphical version either. I quit long before Mehul sold out to whatever company owns it now.
 
Didn't know it was that old , cool stuff... It does look very nice hopefully i don't get too addicted to it
 
Yeah the version you've posted is a new "sequal" version to an old text based browser game. I started playing in 1998, all the way through school and sixth form.

If this one is as addictive as the old one, then you're in trouble. I think it's easier to get drawn in once you've built up the social side of things. Theres a bunch of Utopia chatrooms on IRC. try #Utopia on irc.utonet.org. Hmmm, i should head back in there actually.

www.utopiatemple.com is your friend (might be .net?) for strategies and useful calculators. Utopia Angel is ludicrously useful.

I'm on the hall of fame a bunch of times actually. I'm going to dig myself out and post it when i get home! ;)
 
Wow, I remember Utopia. I made the WT100 for NW/Land a few ages in a row as a dicing/LL elf wayyyy back in like '01-02, eventually quit because luck of the draw as to your KD-mates was such a determining factor in your success if you didn't trade accounts (ie cheat). I'd just assumed it must've died out by now, old-school as it was. Does this version keep the social and teamwork aspects of the original?
