motherboard is the msi mortar max!

yeah, you're probably right. maybe i should just go air :)
 
so the ram might cause me an issue then? damn you RGB ram!

considering those facts, will any of those coolers work that you recommended? i'll do a bit of research myself!
 
the dark rock pro 4 has caught my eye recently so it stands to reason it pops up here! is it a good cooler? but bit annoying if it's covering the ram, and if it'll look a little skewed to make it fit.
 
i do quite like the look of it. not sure if it's worth giving it a go to see what it looks like, and whether it gives me a really decent push down in temps.

could always return if it gets in the way too much.
 
i think this build i want to allow myself to dabble in OC'ing. it's been too long since i put time into it.
 
well, it came last night and after a lot of fiddling, i got it installed. looks good tbf for a big cooler in a micro atx case!

seems to be doing a decent job of cooling too! probably knocked a good 10c ish off the stock.

having a strange one where i can't seemingly change the fan speeds, regardless of what i set in bios. just sits at 1500rpm :D i'll work it out i'm sure...

but yeah, thanks for the help guys!
