This woman claimed to have stage 4 terminal cervical cancer and got pretty much a free wedding plus nearly 10k in donations, which thankfully never made it to her as the person holding the donations grew suspicious and the alarm bells finally sounded when she revealed that she was miraculously pregnant whilst undergoing chemo! The money has now made its way to a well respected cervical cancer charity.

Here's the full story http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/ukn...ad-terminal-cancer-to-fund-dream-wedding.html

This story directly affects me as I know several of the people who donated and helped out with fund raising, I myself designed and printed flyers for an event, which I also donated to and attended.

A friend of mine recently died of cancer at the age of 31, how anyone could make this up is absolutely disgraceful, as far as I know she even lied to her family. Knowing what my friend's family was like knowing their son had terminal cancer was absolutely awful, you wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Did anyone remember about that mum who said her daughter had cancer and lots of donations was given to her. I remember the mum shaving her daughters head, the lie went on for along time. The worst part was making the daughter believe it aswell.

I remember that. It's the making family and friends believe it too that gets me. Are they not aware of how ****ed up that is? My mum got cancer last year and I couldn't imagine putting people through that when it's not true. All for some money? If it's Münchausen syndrome it could possibly be forgiven. But for some shekels? No chance.

No not really.

Disgusting. However surely if you were going to con people you'd choose something else. Pretty hard to explain why you aren't dead yet.

I've lost family members to cancer I'm sure a lot of us have. She disgusts me and her picture doesn't improve things.

What sort of person must you be to do that?!

Disgusting.

People who have suffered from cancer and lost their lives would most likely be willing to pay anything to not have to suffer. Receiving things are certainly the last thing they think about.

Yet this person sees how some in unfortunate positions have some positivity in their last days, months etc, whether it be "dreams come true" for young children, or donations, help etc for others depending on their circumstances but this person sees that and thinks "jackpot".

Just goes to show what sort of society we live in where people want everything for nothing, but doing this is low.

How she went to bed at night and fell asleep I don't know. But I guess that people that are capable of things like that don't have much a conscience to keep them up.

Ironically now I bet she'll have some sleepless nights lol

You watching Hollyosks too? :D

In response to OP, what a horrible woman. Why anyone would fake this is beyond me.

She must be mentally ill to pull something like that!
The story reminds me of an old friend of my sisters.

She concocted all sorts of elaborate lies, telling the people she worked with she was married, had a house and dog etc. and ultimately the death of her fiancé due to drugs. It all fell apart when my sister met her workmates on a night out.

I really pitied her, that she felt the need to lie about her life but it pales into insignificance compared to this news story.
