Hey. Didnt really know where to post this so I guess general hardwares best.

Anyway, I bought 2 UV CCFL tubes for my case, both fine when I initially tested them, then after about 10 mins one had faded and was barely glowing at all, then after an hour or so it basically stayed black and did nothing so I took it out my case. Everything was still lit up enough so I wasnt too bothered.

Got a bay resevoir the other week and so bought a UV LED to light that up a bit too. Installed it this morning, could see it was working and was fine. But the same thing has happened, just looked at it now, after its been in for about 7 hours (probably turned on for about 5 of those) and its hardly giving out any light at all. Tried plugging it into different molex connectors and such but its just dull as anything on them all.

Just wondering if its common for UV lights to fail? Ive had 2 out of 3 fail, and theyre even different types of light, one LED on CCFL. Anybody got any ideas about why this is happening?

Thanks for any help :)

According to Everest its at 12.3V, surely that bit extra wouldnt be enough to damage them? My other CCFL is working fine and ive got an old normal blue LED in my bay resevoir now working fine so doubt it would be that? Thanks though

Hmm. Id say they are broken

EDIT: Actually while im here I may as well try to help. Try running the replacements (if yoyu get some) at 7 volts.
Plenty of guides on that on google if you dont already know how.
