UV Torch Keyring

Depends if you need it for checking the UV printing on money, looking for scorpions or being overly curious about the semen stains in your sisters bed.
All require different wavelengths.

Hmm, you may be right, the bandwidth of LEDs is a bit narrower than I expected. Annoyingly it's listed elsewhere as being able to detect money strips but that could be marketing BS.

The next cheapest solution are the nail curing fluorescents which appear to be 365nm, they'll require that awkward fitting though and they won't hang off a keychain.

I'd like to suggest buying a £2 365nm led, a resistor and a battery, but nobody builds anything any more :/

I think that won't work. The cheap china UV LEDs peak at 390nm with hardly any output below 375nm, certainly, the ones I have don't show up any of the hidden marks on bills, just the little flecks in the paper.

Sounds like you two are on the same wave length. :D
