V Core Voltage

Im getting errors about my vcore voltage being over 0.99 i have a 6550, asus blitz board, ocz reaper 9200 ram with a Enermax 600w PSU do i need a larger psu or do i just need to adjust the settings

The Enermax 600w should be more than enough.

What's giving the errors?

Asus Probe

The asus probe application not sure how reliable it is, my vcore goes up to 1.24 according to this.

Are you sure it's not complaining that the vcore is under 0.99v?

SpeedStep may well be lowering the vcore from 1.24v stock setting to ~0.99v when it kicks in.

The box goes red when it hits 1.24 and it gives me a warning sounds it was at that moment i found out my speakers were on max

but as long as that vcore wont dmg my pc at all ill just change the margin it alarms me at.
