V-Sync Problem

I'm currently running a crossfire 4890 setup into a Samsung 2433 monitor, and with a max refresh rate of 60hz the amount of tearing in games is ridiculous... So i tried out v sync only to find that the second it's enabled, a shed load of mouse lag appears. Same goes with a 360 pad, there's a definite lag and it ruins the games almost as much as the tearing does!

Has anyone got any ideas how to sort it? I've tried reducing the refresh rate of my mouse from 500 right down to 125 and that's not done anything, i'm kind of stuck for ideas right now.

is this with every single game?

are the mouse drivers up to date?

maybe try un-installing mouse drivers and just use a bog standard mouse to see it that is the cause.

tried plugging monitor into the 'other' 4890?

From what I've heard this is one the many flaws with Crossfire, you could try removing a card or disabling a GPU to confirm if this is the case.

It did it before i bought my 2nd 4890, so that's that one crossed off the list!

I'm using a G5 mouse, could be something to do with that? :S I'll give it a try with another mouse, see what happens

If it's possible to turn down polling rate of your mouse then give that a try, it solved a similar issue for me a while back.

Does your monitor support 75hz (some TFTs do over VGA)? If so you might find the tearing not so bad with vsync disabled.
