V1000

I would leave it more than 2 hours before bumping a thread...

Common courtesy advises 24 hours before bumping.
What makes your thread any more important than anyone elses?

do I really need a floppy drive?
should I mod a window or buy one ?
I wouldn't be without one.
Some people don't use them.
Depends entierly on what you do with your PC.
Will you have a SATA HDD to install your OS on?
Then I would get one.
(Even though my drivers are slipstreamed, if a firmware update changes the firmware on the RAID controller - A floppy drive would be a god-send)

Window - Depends.
Do you want the kudos of doing one yourself, or get a pre-made one which IMHO, is better than I could ever cut.
(It has the same 'jaggy edges' as the rest of the case on the inside of the window)

Any pictures? please

Will post em tomorrow, got back from work after 3 hours on the M2 (Damn operation stack on the M20). Last part of the order was here so spent 4 hours building the thing. V1000 is a SEXAH case but a bit of a pain in the arse to try and route tidily...

Still, had the pleasure of firing it up and seeing how lovely and quiet it was...

Review and pics coming.

nice Cd drive how did you do that ?
how much would I get for selling my hiper PSU and getting a better one?
It would have to be modular black, no blue LEDs. and nice and long cables,

There was a nice quide how to do that on here quite some time ago. The threads probably been pruned by now like. Quite a simple and effective mod though.

thanks I saw it like 6 months ago I think , and I wanted to know who created it :p
how much would I get for my hiper Type R modular PSU ?

I would like to put water cooling in it aswell but what is the chance of me messing it up and killing my pc?
is it worth getting water cooling as 939s days have gone is it easily upgradeable to intel sockets etc? and when transporting the rig aroud do I have to drain it if so lan partys are going to be a pain.

bump :P

also with the lighting scheme I'm going to be going for green stuff, I also want green Uv componants but the uv cathodes are blue? can I have the green cathodes and Uv blue cathodes in the case at the same time without it looking total crap?

Ask in the price check section of the Members Market.

Impossible to say. Depends how carefull you are, how good the components are etc. Anywhere between 0%-100% chance of failure. Upgrading a waterloop from 939 to 775 will simply mean changing the blocks over(CPU and chipset if you use one). I doubt you would have to drain the loop everytime you went to a LAN party, but personally I wouldn't be too happy moving it around all the time, incase something started to work loose.

UV cathodes arn't any colour, they are UV. On some of the a tiny bit of violet light might be produced, but not a significant amount. I wouldn't have any other cathodes in there as well as the UV ones as they will totally wash out and ruin the UV effect.

thanks messiah, I would like uv green components and uv reactive fans what are the best to go for? + can you recomend some Uv cathodes?

Why you thanking Yewen  Its me you want to be thanking foo' :p AC Ryan stuff is supposed to be the best.

agh :@ I keep changing my mind obout what case I want :( I love the look of the V1000 but the price of that + a window is a bit steep, I like the look of a Pc7+ but its a bit boring, ATM I've got my eyes on a Silverstone Temjin TJ04 and a sidepanel for it anyone got one of these?

Argh     I found out my psu wont fit in a TJ04 so i think its going to be a PC7+ but the TJ09 look so nice but soo expensive when will the price come down?

Your very impacient aren't you. You could get something like a swiftech kit which I believe works with 939 and intel as it has adaptors or something. Also are you sure if you go to lanparties often that you want a case as big as this?

edit: woh you post fast, go for the pc7 and buy a window, it really isn't boring and you could always put some lights and led fans in it.

A LianLi v1000 is really not that expensive when you think about it. You spend much more on other components, and a case that good is likely to last you a good 2-3 builds. Its also a classic case that will retain its value very well, so when it comes to selling it you won't loose much money at all.

ok thanks messiah (not yewen this time :p ) I'll probs go for the PC7+ with window but I like the TJ09 too expensive tho. I'm liking the look of the red LED fans or green anyone got pics of these in cases ?
thanks
