I've seen some of these stuff around a bit now and quite a few seem to love it. What would exactly be helpful for? I know it would make it easier and tidier to store meat in the freezer, but how would it be with vegetables and other items like that? Would fresh vegetables hold for a longer time or be stored easier/longer/better in the freezer etc?
If it is very useful I'm considering to get some to try out.

I just use sealable plastic bags (double seal Ikea ones) for all my raw meats and cooked meals.

Most fresh veg does not freeze well, you are better off just buying pre-frozen veg as they flash-freeze.

The vacuum seal machines help keep your frozen stuff in better condition, as no/less air means no/less chance of freezer burn.

Mine was £49 of amazon, I bulk buy meat from butchers every Saturday and portion it. Sometimes I might freeze some but mostly just use it during the week.

If I do freeze it I can always phone the mrs and get her to pop it in cold water and it's usually fully defrosted within four hours.

Vacuum sealing does keep things fresher for longer in the fridge, not sure how effective it would be with veg right enough. If veg isn't lasting very long I'd suggest changing where you shop, or your shopping routine if possible.
