Valentines Day

Same as last time. Go to a pub with mate get drunk senseless. Then get hungry and go for some food in a Chinese restaurant. Then realise that I'm having a dinner with my friend in a restaurant on Valentine's Day

Dump girlfriend on 13th Feb.

Have big row.

Get back together on 15th of Feb and enjoy make-up sex (along with extra cash in wallet).

Win!

My gf is a teacher and this year for the 1st time she can remember Valentines day falls during the half term break, something to do with the early Easter this year.

So me being very soppy, have booked a four day trip to Paris, we leave on Wednesday. I suspect a little trip up the Eiffel tower on Thursday followed by an evening at the Moulin Rouge should keep her happy for another year.

we're going to see my very favorite band (in the whole world ever ever ever) play, in london, on valentines day :) we missed their last gig so my better half surprised me with tickets to their show this time round (aww)

it's our anniversary a week later too :) - i bought him an ipod classic as a valentines/anniversary pressie - he's wanted done for ages, and i don't like the idea of buying overpriced 'romantic' crap just because hallmark says we have to - imo presents should be thoughtful / practical and given just for the hell of it

I'm having a vasectomy on the 14th!

I'm going to give the missus the bits they remove in a jewellery box as a present!
(actually, I'm going to cover some cooked spaghetti in tomato sauce and put that in the box, but she won't know the difference)

I'm such a romantic...

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned in this thread - however if you are looking to "pick up some points" and can spare £15 you could do a lot worse than the deal they are running at Morrisons.
You may have seen the advert on TV, however you get:

525g Box of chocolates
75cl Bottle of Champagne

The chocolates are valued at £10.50 and the Champagne at £23.99.
The girls love some Champagne and chocolates!

Anyone know where I can get some typical valentines day stuff online? Got a serious case of man flu at the moment.

Try here, has loads of things you can buy for Valentine's day. ;)

I hunted around for a while last week as I was looking for a large bunch of roses for, found many, many sites that deliver and you can places orders fairly late.

Last year I ordered 12 roses to her office, which I thought was amusing, mostly due to the fact that she was working 10am-6pm and when she walked into the office there was a MASSIVE box on her desk and everyone wanted to know what it was etc. :D
This year I ordered 24 roses, and again, she's working a 10-6. :D

For the fact that we aren't together on Valentine's day we went to a local restaurant on Saturday evening. Had a very nice meal and she really enjoyed it, and best of all, it didn't hurt my bank account all that much at all. :)

What you gonna do if you stay together for many more years? Hope you can afford to keep doubling your rose quota lol :)

:p

Will have to think of something else, and knowing me...it probably will be another 12 roses, sod doubling! Last year I didn't treat her to a meal, so I've done a huge amount this year really...topping it should prove interesting. Although I'll have a job next year, so will actually be able to afford whatever I plan on. :D

me and the bf are going to a gig on valentines day :( should be fun but not romantic! hoping to go for a meal on wednesday instead.

which gigs are you all going to out of interest?? there are several mentions of band related vdays!!

Mrs Trickyj and I are spending this one apart therefore I've just returned from a suprise visit to see her for the weekend where we spent some real quality time together doing nothing but got all spruced up and hit a posh italian for a 4 course and plenty of liquid grape.

I don't see valentines as a special day but more of an excuse to spoil her some more ;) :)

He's bought me a cable tidy for my study and is fixing my PC. We're off out for dinner and probably a film and then home to bed. Ding dong.

My boyfriend rocks!
