Valentines Day

My wife's Birthday is on the 21st, she is going to have to have 2 presents! I was thinking a Scalextrics for valentines and a Hornby OO for her Birthday.

Sounds like she will really enjoy those, her hobbies sound awesome :D

We went out for a romantic fancy dinner last night (plus it was free as it was at the hotel she works at for sampling/tasting/testing) it was all delicious.

On VDay itself she is working till 9-10pm. I've suitably ordered her favourite flowers and a teddy bear to be delivered to her work to give her a reasonable amount of embarrassment in front of her colleagues :D

So I'll be watching anime or playing games until she turns up around midnight :p

Dinner for one for me on the day!

Question regarding flowers...do you guys give the day before or wait for them to finish work and give them one? (:D)

What has the last part of your question go to do with flowers?

I've actually just ordered her a weather station. Hopefully this gets more use than the telescope I bought her a while back... :(

My wife (of 10 years) understands that the purchasing of material possessions can only serve to cheapen the deep love that I feel, and as such I wouldnt want to ruin that........

Booked a table for 2 at Zizzis in Bromley. Really living it up this year.

(then again, she did just have a whopper of a holiday in Oz for a few weeks so she can't complain :D)

I've spent the last 18 months or so convincing the Mrs that I'm against the idea of cut flowers, that I find it morally wrong and she'll never get flowers from me. It started off as a jest, but when she fell for it I decided to keep it going for a while because... well then I need not waste my money on flowers.

Getting a bunch of soon to be dead flowers delivered to her work tomorrow, hopefully should be a nice surprise.

Can't get the time off work to go up and see her so just ordered some flowers to be delivered, as a semi apology/gift. Other than that I may order a takeaway to be delivered to hers. But these are both things that get done throughout the year anyway so nothing special.

First valentines after getting married in August. She's out visiting her friend back from Oz so I'm stuck at home having dinner with the dog :p

Indeed.

I like to start small and build up. Yesterday I got her 2 scented candles from IKEA. A grand total of €2

Aside from blowing close to 10 grand with her going around the world....no point building false expectations :p

Well normally i try and cook a meal and then having a relaxing evening that may or may not end in me getting lucky, but this year after me arranging to have the kids at my mums and getting in some of the wife's favourite food and drink to then be told by her that one of her biggest clients are in London for that day only and her boss has told that they have to take them out and wine and dine them to keep in the good books.

So i'll be dinnning in for one it seems.

So her boss has invited her out for a candle lit dinner on valentines day? ok...

Mrs Punt and myself said we wouldn't do anything. But that's not to say I won't get her a card and some flowers... hedging my bets for March 14th ;)
