Valentines Meals

My girlfriend is low-carbing, so that has limited my choices somewhat as my nice meals are usually pretty fat & cream heavy so I'm going for a different approach.

Starter:
Raspberry & Citrus Pan Fried Scallops.

Main:
Green Tea Poached Salmon with Broccoli & Ginger Fritters served with a Miso Hollandaise and a poached egg.

Desert:

Still to decide.

Simple Cheese Board.

Will also be serving Champagne & Sorbet cocktails, Reisling, and Brandy.

Haven't decided on dinner yet, probably roasted veggies with some sort of meat. I get back quite late so any elaborate cooking will have to wait for the weekend.

I did knock this up last night though. Was waiting on the kitchen counter for them this morning.

I'm making Beef Stroganoff tonight, but we're going to Jamie's Italian tomorrow.. disappointingly, all tables were booked for tonight.

We're not big valentines day fans, but we are doing fajitas and probably pancakes for desert xD

Still quite a nice together, thing, very handy as well :)

Thai fishcakes with a lime and honey suace and salad

Main

Veggie thai red curry with coconut rice

Desert

Chocolate and raspberry tart with whipped cream

Nice bottle of red wine and some mango martinis

All nice and simple really but still taste great

Pan fried scallops, black pudding and cauliflower purée.

Main

Glazed fillet of beef, pomme fondant and gremolata.

Dessert

Lemon posset with raspberries.

Drinks

White wine with the scallops, red wine with the beef and some vintage Veuve Cliquot
