I've just bought myself a new car, Focus 1.8 TDCi Ghia and love it to bits. BUT with it being a few years old it's got a couple of stone chips here and there and also could do with a thorough clean in and out.

Who would you reccomend and why?

I've been looking around and at the moment the repair companies don't fill me with confidence. Some even have videos of basically sandpapering the area down and spraying it. That surley must have a totally different finish to the rest of the car?

At the moment the previous owner has done a crap job with a touch up brush and it looks awful. I know I wont get anything perfect but wan't then to be disguised well.

Have you heard of a product called Dr Colorchip? There was a group buy of the stuff on here a while back - looks a good product although I have no first hand experience of it. Might be a good way to go? Sure other will be able to give opinions.

Chips away are brilliant, they come to your house and put a gazebo round your car! Thats cool enough but they fix your small dents and stone chips too! Seriously though very professional service and far cheaper than any garage.

Yeah I have emailed our local bod to hopefully get some quotes. I was thinking it's probably worth waiting until the weather gets dryer though for the paint etc to dry out?
