Valid forms of ID?

Wallet size for Provisional is a big selling point. Mine is out of date but everywhere has accepted it. It is always just in my wallet for the very odd time I get ID'ed, I'm 31 now and always thank anyone that IDs me :)

Nice theory about the water damage, but no cigar. It actually went through a 60C wash! The photo inside is ruined which is why the passport is now invalid. The rest of the document survived remarkably well. Just the photo's seriously degraded.

Rolf Harris is in Stafford prison, get him to draw your picture in it.

Well if its a legit license and AND out of date, even if its now invalid, it wont make letting you in any less legal. If anything an out of date provisional is proof is just as much proof as any document out there.

Shops checking age is getting ridiculous.

To buy a lottery ticket you have to be 16, yet some shops operate the under 25 approach. I got asked recently if I was over 25 when buying a lottery ticket... I'm in my 40s! I guess I should take that as a compliment :D

I got ID'd not long ago in a grotty bar and I'm in my early 30s. Don't know why though as they were serving underage folk at the other end of the bar.

Yeah if you have a baby face just don't shave. Stubble/facial hair confuses the till monkeys. The way you dress and carry yourself is also a factor.

I'm 28 I haven't been ID'd since I was 15 and that was to prove I was still at school so I could get a cheaper bus fare :(

Gf who's 31 gets IDed all the freaking time.
I feel like a pedophile in the off-licence.

There were plans a decade ago to give every person in the UK a free ID card, similar to other countries. Sadly the tin foil brigade threw a fit and it never went through :(

I vaguely recall some of the more tinfoil-equipped shouts of 'Their labelling us! They want to give us numbers like the Nazis did the Jews and we we will all be under watch! They'll keep track of who we are and will use it to control us'

As if we dont already have ways to uniquely identify people already
