Im no fanboy, had all the consoles and looking forward to the ps3 to come out just to see what its like, theres a lot of people saying the ps3 is gonna whip the 360, but I read the following in a 360 magazing and wondering if this bloke has a valid point, his argument went somthing like this:
People are saying the ps3 will be more powerfull because sony are taking more time with it, but wasnt the specification and finalisation made of the componets around the same time as the x360 ages ago?. I remember that when the consoles were being shown off at E3 the spec of the ps3 boasted the power of 2x 6800gt's running in sli, and these cards are now old generation. Yes Sony is taking more time releasing the ps3 but they are sitting on old tecnology now that is ageing all the time while the world of graphics moves on. The short time difference between the 360 and ps3 console components being finalised was too short for any hardware technology to be so much more advanced than the other that it would give a real world visual difference in performance.
I never thought of it like that and seems a valid point to me, what does everyone else think
