Hey people. Apologies if this post is a repeat of about a thousand below it.

I'm after a fast hard drive to replace my ageing and pretty much full Samsung 160gb drive, and given my current pc spec it seems counter productive to have a nice cpu but a slow hard drive.

Raptors look lovely but tbh a bit pricey given their low capacity. But i'm open to thoughts on that.

Wanting to spend less than £100 if possible.. Capacity needs to be atleast 200 gig because i've started editing video and i'm hooked. And does anyone know what happened to the elusive single platter Samsung 320gig drive that was announced a while back? HD322 sticks in my head as the model.

Cheers guys:p

ehh.. the criteria has been met?

You wanted a fast drive for under £100.

The F1s give the raptors a run for their money despite their slower RPM. They are near silent and you get a 1TB for peanuts. The 750Gb is just as good if you want to save a few more pennies.

Personally, I think Raptors have met their match in the new batch of 32mb cache drives.

That samsung looks perfect for you at your specifications - would snap it up asap.
