I don't know if you can blame the fact that you paid well over book price for a T plate rover on rover can you? If you'd of paid book price for it (which would have been what about £1200???? ) you'd have only of lost a coupe of hundred quid.

No, I bought it the month before they went bust.

All the 200's were approx 1800 - 2000 in the area. But I liked this more than the rest, it took corners and everything :p

I suppose your all right though, but Im going to try for £1000-1100

Well, look on the bright side, you’re going to buy a Honda. They tend to have better residuals, Rover, in all fairness to you, did plummet when Rover went bust. So don’t feel too bad, just do the best you can, and hopefully you’ll get your Honda and enjoy your new car.

Honda’s are reported to have higher residuals. Although I have never tried to sell my Honda, and I’m sure I’d be in for a shock if I did.

So why did you pay 50% more for that one? To be honest Rover going bust will have little impact on the price of your car anyway.

True... Only the newer Rovers (erm, newer plates as Rover were never new cars.. Ducks..!!) lost.. the older plate rovers wouldn't have been so affected.

Not much at all. Unfortunately its the worst colour, white, and it has an awkward looking front bumper which makes the front of the car lower the rest of the car.

This is going to put off the few buyers you'd have had for a white Rover 200 :(

but on the brightside???

well, on the brightside there's always my insurance quote for a CTR - £950 fully comp, at 22 :D

Theres always a silver lining I suppose

Yes so dont start all this insurance police crap again ;) . Mine is going to be the same next year. Greenlight insurance is very good :)

James talks the truth!

It's in my own name, for my own address and that quote includes all mods that I might have declared: new air filters, induction kits, and exausts. Oh, and £50 per track day.

so nerrrrrrr!!! :p

£50 per track day? thought it was £85? or do they discount track days for members too? :)

I didnt mention anything about being a member of the CTR forums yet. I'm going to do that when i ring back for the requote on the model, year and CTR I buy.

Spoke to Neil and he said I could have all those mods for no extra cost, plus I could have track days in Britain only, for £50 a day.

I told I'm I'd be giving him a call back soon as I have the CTR.

His quote for the Rover was rubbish, £660, jesus, I could buy a new one for that :D
