The thing is I can't see that working, since:

a) Most of the people concerned about Golden Potato were likely very interested in P2 and thus already own that game, the most valuable in the pack

b) Again, chances are most people desperately wanting P2 released early were probably already familiar with Valve's work i.e. already own some of the games.

At £50 it's a good deal for newcomers to PC gaming, but the majority will probably already own the Orange Box or similar.
 
yeah not such a good deal for me considering it own almost all of these games already

buying the ones i dont heve seperatly would work out cheaper.

but for someone who doesn't have any then its a great deal

This was my point. :confused:

Because of this. All these people that earned the golden potato, that already had all/most the Valve games, now have all/most the Valve collection to give away to friends or try to sell on to eBay.

You only used to get Deathmatch: Classic when activating a Half-Life key on Steam, not when you bought it straight from it.
