Ugh why does everything have to be limited stock these days. I was in two minds about getting one anyway, but I guess this decided for me.

People questioned the price during the announcement and here we are. The controller has sold out.

Hardly surprising, if there's one group of gamers who have shown unwavering determination to bend over and take whatever price is set for the latest new shiny thing they probably don't even need, it's PC gamers.

The flip side of that is the steam controller is completely unique and its pricing is not out of whack with first party controllers.

Sorry I was completely incorrect about Currys and misread lol.

On the steam controller, I mean it's very unique isn't it. Is it expensive compared to elite controllers etc?

Compared to elite, no it’s cheaper but it’s more than a standard first party console controller.

There is an argument the PS5 controller is also up there in its uniqueness and quality and that’s materially cheaper.

When they come back in stock the same thing will probably happen again. I guess it can't be helped with the current world events causing disruption, its just disappointing its become the norm.
