Vanquish

Quite impressive for ye olde PS3. Will certainly check out the full thing once it drops in price (the PC gamer in me refuses to pay 40 quid for a game).

£28.xx it is to preorder atm. So cheaper than games like starcraft 2 for example.

Then again, pretty much any PC game is cheaper than Starcraft 2 ;)

Shame that price is on the Z site. I stopped using them after Res 5 came out. They'd been slow with stuff before, but couldn't even get me a copy within a week of release despite me preordering over a month before. A friend who waited finally got his copy a fortnight later.

I'll wait until it's closer to that price elsewhere.

Had a play on both on a friends machine. MGS could have done with a bit more consistant framerate from what I recall (was a while back though on a friends PS3 before I had one). Lost interest in MGS round about number 3 really, though did enjoy 1&2.

Played about the first 30-40 minutes of Uncharted 2. Thought it was a bit average tbh.

Don't most games repeat X amount of times though to be fair, scenery and settings might change but you pretty much keep doing the same basic actions most of the time. I think Vanquish is going to be rather good if the demo is anything to go by, played both versions and the PS3 one seems to have a slight edge over the 360 version this time which surprised me.

I saw this is a PS3 mag a while ago, it looked good. Got the demo for 360 last week, just had a go, not expecting it and i really enjoyed it. Dont think i'll it on release day as it will only drop in price like everything, so will wait a month or so and pick it up when it drops to under £30.
 
No I am not there is footage out there where you don't run in to a room and clear people out.
 
Played the demo and liked it! Though did find it very Gear's meets Halo (with aliens etc) esque ill wait till its a £10 bargin i think
 
Thought it was very 'meh' to be honest

Dont get me wrong I didn't think it was bad but given that it's pretty much just a Gears of War rip off it just didn't have the wow factor of Gears

Sounded like it could have been something special but given when it's released I think it'll get lost amongst the likes of Medal of Honour, COD, Halo et all
 
I think this has bargain bin written all over it tbh. You have to be pretty special to stand out in the most overcrowded of genres, and this just...doesn't.
