Vantec EZ Swap Usage

I was looking at getting a Vantec EZ Swap, but how convenient are they? I assume the unit installs in a spare CD-ROM bay, but how easy is it to swap HDs in the unit? Do I just pull out the rack, stick a new HDD in it then shove it back in - or do I have to take the PC appart every time?! I'm thinking of getting a couple of IDE HDDs just for backing up. Having a quick look on Vantec's website I think you plug your IDE cable into the rack, then you just chuck in your HDD into the rack. So no need to open your machine each time you want to swap.

Makes sense really since what would be the point buying an "EZ Swap" device if you still had to open your case :/
