VBA & .NET - differences ?

Way to completely miss the point of my post dude...

Hmm, a "sorry I was wrong" would have sufficed.

I didn't miss your point, I just didn't think it was relevant (and less reliable after you deliberately posted inefficient VB code which I've now proved).

Your point was that you work in an office of an unspecified number of people and you all switched from VB6 to C#. Good for you but without saying how many people that was, when it was (which is quite important), what type of programmes your office produces etc then it's just a meaningless statement really.

I'm fully aware C# at the moment is seen as more financially rewarding (although IMO based of falsehood about VB or judging older itterations of it) so if that's the reason you're moving to that then fair enough but the OP is simply asking whether he should try VB.NET or VBA, come to think of it why is C# even being discussed in this thread?

How have you guys detected anger in my posts? No all caps, no over usage of exclamation marks so I'm confused by your comprehnsion skills?

But then, symbols are more your thing than English text isn't it :D

Nice try, it's an old tactic though (painting the picture that anyone who disagrees with is is somehow furious and shaking their fist at the computer screen), maybe you should try another. How about the other classic way of deflecting your errors away by accusing the person of using "strawmen", that's always a favourite of mine.

I take it no apology for your error then Jester, nevermind I'm not angered, just disapointed ;)

We can tell because of your clear immaturity and further dragging out of a point, in order to try and score a "victory."

Chill out, let it drop, and we'll all agree that everyone has different tastes.

WOW - What have i started ?

now what was the original question . . .

i'll have to sober up and have a think . . .

the comment on vb being good for office automation is more my thing

i'm not into the living the efficiency of code - no offence just stating my corner
