Vcore problem

Hey all,

I've recently been trying to overclock my e8200 using the Megahalems and HyperX 8500 RAM.

I've been running it at 3.92GHz for a few days now with no blue screens however I don't have the net at thome so can't properly test it by downloading BurnTest etc.

The main problem I have is that the vcore doesn't seem to be increasing, or atleast CPU-ID doesn't show it (still shows as 1.225 stock). I know I should be able to hit 4GHz as my temps are quite low, but as it's possibly still running on stock voltage that would be why.

I'm able to change and save the vcore increase in the BIOS, but it just doesn't show when I'm in Windows, that's the only idea I have as to why It's not stable over this speed.

Seen another screenshot from CPU-ID and maybe I'm confusing the Core VID label at 1.25? Maybe I just need to up my voltage higher to cope with it? Not sure!

It should be really obvious which is the vcore reading. It's likely to move about a bit under load as well. If it has Vid written next to it, then it's the stock voltage, and not what you want to be looking at.

What have you set vcore to in the bios? It's probably the only setting you'll need to change to hit 4ghz if the chip will do it, slight increase to northbridge may be needed as well.
