Vectra C problem

Hey guys, got a problem with my 04 Vectra 1.9 CDTI that I thought somebody here might be able to shed some light on.

Engine light came on so took it to garage, mechanic says its the engine "swirl pot" or something and it needs a new manifold as part of the repair. He reckons 7.5 hours labour plus parts taking total to about £700 :eek:

Anyone familiar with this type of fault ?

Only 4 years old, should be under warranty?

warranty is 3 years / 60k - its expired on both !
