I am wondering if anybody could assist me, I originally ran into some graphics issues while playing rust, this tends to happen after a couple of hours game play and affects shadows and other textures. I reinstalled drivers, Formatted the PC a long with using a completely new Samsung Evo drive. The game of choice recently has been Overwatch which has been running absolutely fine, until today. Whereby a similar issue to rust appears after several hours of game play. The Temps are sitting between 58-70c using an aggressive fan curve. The only overclock on the card is the memory which sits at 1000mhz and the power limit always sits at +50%. Id appreciate any feedback on the below screenshots. Im fearing i may have to RMA it.

Appreciate any response.

Have you moved to a new driver recently? If so roll back and see how they play with it.

I've seen weird stuff like in the middle pic before and the problem was with the graphics card's memory so I was forced to replace the card, I hope you have better luck.

I rolled back the drivers a while back and still had the same issue. After the full format with a New HDD, im starting to think its the card itself. The problem is, it may take a couple of hours to replicate the issue so if I RMA it, it may get rejected? unless there is a specific test for GPU memory?

The card itself is performing fine while bench marking which is the frustrating matter.

I seem to be be so cursed that improving my luck would require more rabbits feet than you could find in Australia..

I just got myself a Vega today and after roughly an hour and a half of full load while playing a demanding game it crashed and went to a black screen, when it eventually went back to the desktop it was flickering like this.

I'm gonna have to spend all my spare time over the next few days gaming to see if it keeps happening. Hopefully it won't & I can put it down to birthing pains. :)

Oh no, feel for you :(

Which game? Does it happen in more than one game?

Mine does something similar with one game, the Dead Air mod for Stalker. If the game crashes then the desktop flickers like crazy with parts of the desktop image glitching all over the screen for 10 seconds or so before returning to normal.

It does not do this with any other game, no matter how demanding, so I have put it down to a game specific bug.

Oh man, You really have no luck with graphics cards. Could it possibly be something else in your system? That works ok with lower power cards, but, when it's stressed with a high powered GPU it's causing problems?

I would've said memory issue so echo what others have said about removing the overclock. Texture issues are usually memory.

Can't say I have ever seen anything like that on my vega. Out of interest have you guys got hbcc turned on? Literally the only time I have ever seen anything remotely similar is when maxing the card out with hbcc turned on and hitting local memory rather than the hbcc. Mind you I have never seen this under gaming conditions more throwing the kitchen sink at it conditions.

I don't think so, As mentioned I'm hoping it's a one off. I've spent a few hours more on it and it hasn't happened again, Earlier I put the power limit to 50% and the clocks up to 1730 & 1000 and ran 5 runs of the Metro Last Light benchmark back to back with no issue, I also just spent a few hours in the game it fraggled out on last night with no issues so I'll keep at it for a few days and if it doesn't happen again I'll put it down to me psychically connecting with it for the first time and imprinting my own fears onto it's memory, I kid you not, alright maybe I do :D

Zero Overclock on the core. The memory sits at 1000mhz. Ive returned it to stock and it still happens.

Sorry if I high-jacked your thread for a moment then,

Make sure to let us know how you get on and as Vince asked Do you have HBCC on?

@Vince I haven't got HBCC on. I'm not sure if it's really needed for gaming. I suppose there's some games that may take advantage of it at high resolutions. Games like Call of Duty hog memory but I think 8gb's is plenty for me at 3440x1440 so I never touch it.
