Hi there

OK its being a long time coming, finally we have one of the most advanced graphics cards to exist featuring the latest HBM2.0 memory and a whopping 8G of it for good measure. Performance out the door is very good, especially at this price point, but remember AMD never disappointment with performance uplifts from driver updates and as games take advantage of the GCN architecture and HBM2.0 memory making these cars future proof and a great option for anyone upgrading from an older AMD card or building a new system. Also remember with Vulkan enabled games VEGA is pretty much untouchable at this price point.

Now the good and bad news, the good news is AMD are rebating early launch sales to allow us to hit £449.99 on the stand alone black card which has no games. This is a launch only price which AMD at present are saying will be withdrawn in the near future, when if it happens is unknown, but remember do not be shocked if the price jumps nearly £100 in a few days.

This time round there is no early adopter tax, quite the opposite on the stand alone black card, so do be quick.

We've also made some bundles as well, these bundles feature NO DISCOUNT, what you get is two AAA titles known as Prey and yet to be released Wolfenstein II PC games, worth a solid £50 between them. Well I lie, they include the Black Card which has £100 discount up front, so by buying the bundles you get the black card at the launch discounted price, but also score the two free games. This is also same case for the Samsung & VEGA monitor bundle, it includes the black pre-discounted card, but also scores you the two free games.

I've also done some nice cheeky discounts on Ryzen CPU, FREESYNC Monitors which shall be listed below to celebrate the launch of VEGA.

You can now finally build the AMD system of your dreams, lovely Ryzen or Threadripper CPU, DDR4 AM4/TR4 motherboard and of course a lovely VEGA card. :D

How do I get hold of the Steam Keys for the free games Gibbo? I received confirmation my order has been shipped but no details on how to claim the game keys...

If you paid £449 you do not get games, that was crystal clear.

If you paid higher price then they shall come via email in your web account.

Lets get one thing crystal clear here!

Launch MSRP $499, a $100 reduction for launch, regular MSRP of $599, check a site such as newegg for confirmation:
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod...BESTMATCH&Description=RX+VEGA&N=-1&isNodeId=1

UK launch MSRP £449, a £100 reduction, yes we got a full £100 which worked favourably and much cheaper than you can buy one from US, remember US is excluding taxes. Now launch pricing is finished, so £549 which falls in line with $599 MSRP.

it was 450 for 30 minutes or so after launch, then they felt the urge to cutthroat and push it to 550, clowns I tell ya, tbh that potato wasnt even worth the original 450.

AMD set the pricing, we had set allocation to sell at £450, the launch price of $499 as a stand alone card! Once sold out AMD would not support further and as such price had to be £549 with the games, regular price of $599

I've expressed my opinions to AMD and hope they will consider bringing the card back and support £449 unlimited, because whether or not you think they are worth £449, it seems 100's if not 1000's of customers think £449 is a good value price and want to buy, but of course £549 the sales are slowed, though still selling.

I personally would rather sell them at £449, sell thousands is better than selling a few hundred at £549.

OcUK might be looking at more than a few cards being returned...

https://www.reddit.com/r/EtherMinin...x_vega_64_hashrates_out_of_box_only_3036_mhs/

Seems more than a few miners bought on impulse before reading reviews, and will simply return them if they can't get more than 30 mh/s.

Ah gotta love review sites that quote one of my post out of context with later replies from me. More fool the idiots who read press sites and believe what they say, when they select just the snippets they want to select. I said an AIB has rumoured 70-100 hash rate, not confirmed. Funny how the press made it look like 70-100 was dead cert. People who read all my replies here would no that to be rumour but as always certain sites post up just parts of my replies here and take as gospel.

Thankfully we sold in single units but will be interesting to hear if our RMA team get calls from miners trying to return.

i dont get how 499usd msrp turns into 550gbp, a straight conversion of usd to gbp is about 380gbp, with taxes and imports your looking around 460gbp.... where is the 550 coming from?

gibbo said they msrp is 599usd but i dont see that anywhere, the "pack" bundle is 599usd but the card on its own is 499usd on newegg and with amd slides its also 499usd

i can pick any item on here and compare it to newegg and not have such a difference in pricing after conversions and taxes....

the salt inside me in bursting out in my skin i had to take 2 showers already.......

AMD Launch price of $499, some posters get it, some do not, but in fairness AMD have wored things poorly causing mass confusion.

Black stand alone card was $499 for a set launch quantity, which is now all sold, as such now all you can buy from OcUK is the bundle packs, Black and Silver which are $599 or the Aqua which is $699.
Stand alone is no more, unless AMD say so.

You knew what you were doing... lol

Members here can see the post, I post here, if news sites want to pickup on what I post that is fine. But then if people want to kick off because they read it out of context that is their own fault. They should join these forums and read the full story, not snippets chosen by others. I share what I can with customers whilst trying to stay within NDA parameters set by manufacturers.

that post was ignored on more than one occasion lol

Nope not the case, I am one guy with one pair of hands with several active threads trying to answer everyones questions.

The limit at first was set to 3pc for ten minutes, when I see how crazy fast they were selling and several orders of 3pc, it was set to 3 units because a forum member here requested he'd like three units for his upgrade as wanted to crossfire them which in OcUK land is not rare for our customers wanting to do tri or quad for benching and gaming. As I had hundreds of cards I though ah no problem 3pc will be fine.

When several orders went through of 1pc, 2pc and 3pc with sales being way higher than expected, I limited all cards to 1pc as the sales were way faster than we expected. So some early orders snagged 3pc, did maybe some customers manage to slip another order in later under a different account or not get noticed, its possible, end of the day the guys checking orders are humans and when you sell several hundred cards to several hundred individuals in minutes, well were not robots.

@Gibbo thanks for clearing that one up for me it makes a lot of sense now

i was one of the unlucky ones that missed out because i was set on watching the reviews first and sold before i could enter my card details, since these retarded pack cards are over what they should be does that mean that aib card will be less than this pack nonsense?

AIB cards no idea, only one AIB has and let me repeat RUMOURED, not fact, just a RUMOUR so should any bloody press site decide to quote me, is Asus have said a Strix card will be around September time, by that I assume paper launch, though I do know Asus are planning to not do any MBA cards, which means I guess they are just buying GPU+RAM kits from AMD to make their own cards, so Asus could be first in September sometime with a card. Price wise absolutely NO IDEA, again it depends if AMD want to support cost down or not.

Gibbo will 56 have a launch deal of £350? If so i would probs take one

OK let me start with AMD have rumoured! A launch price of $399, judging by how AMD seem to be favouring the £££ so much one can hope that will mean a launch price of £349, but if they allow us to sell 100, 1000 or 10,000 at this price is still unknown. As of now we don't even have stock on this part. But at £349 this thing will sell like crazy, thats not much more than some of the faster clocked RX 580's went for before the whole mining craze started.

As such if we see £349 in the UK, AMD are being very kind, I'd not be surprised to see a more 1:1 conversion on that part where $399 is £399, but for sure fingers crossed for £349 and they let OcUK sell thousands at that price.

But remember this, as of right NOW, AMD are saying LAUNCH PRICE of $399, that means once the volume they set is sold, the price will be at the pack prices, which to me is unknown but you can bet they are like $449-$499

That's where it came from, then some forum members felt the need to spread it to tech sites.

And out of context of my future replies. But still I am interested in seeing what the card can do.

Because an I state in BIG CAPITAL LETTER *RUMOUR*, but we had a miner ring us today begging to allow him to send money in our bank to be first in the queue for VEGA's, even was willing to pay £800 per card, when quizzed over why so desperate, he was of the firm believe that with some hacking they could get 80 hash, we did not go into details but suggested they believe nothing until seen, but at the same time we have no idea about what specific coin, currency they were mining. In short we said look, unfortunately were not opening VEGA to miners, irrelevant of what you offer, the product is in severe shortage and both AMD&OcUK want VEGA to go to gamers, hence it shall remain at 1pc per customer until supply is in the thousands. Then if your still so crazy mad for these things, you can buy some, but he was very insistent a single VEGA could nearly match three 1070's, when I heard this I was shocked because to my knowledge the max they do is around 40 hash so far, but of course the professional miners have not got VEGA yet. As such there is no telling what these guys do, they could be hacking driver, BIOS, modding the card in some way or are just completely mental and living on a pipe dream.

Right now if your mining, read the reviews and believe the hash rates published there but at the same time I am sorry but VEGA shall be reserved for gamers and gamers ONLY until supply is enough for all.

On the plus side around 2000 RX 580's are due in the next few days! :)
