Using the over priced vending machine at work is bad enough but it is really starting to annoy me now.

It always gets stuck because the chocolate is always too far back from the edge so 1 rotation of the metal coil isn't enough, weather this is because of poor design or people nicking stuff, I am not sure but it isn't my problem.

So I had to do the usual shake of the machine after my order because Dairy Milk is always affected (being quite a slim chocolate bar).

But now it hasn't given me any change either. :(

What are the legal issues of not giving change? I am getting it one way or another, this vending machine is now my mortal enemy and nemesis until I or it dies.

There are now vending machines here, on a halls of residence site, outside of the bar... it's £1.10 for a 500ml bottle of drink, which seems crazy, and God knows what for various chocolate bars (I think 60p, possibly... but I've only glanced... but rest assured, it's too much!).

Yup, everything is 65p now here, I was annoyed when it happened but the price of stuff in shops has gone up too. Go into any Shell garage and it is probably more expensive so unless you go to the supermarket or a corner shop it isn't cheaper.

But this not giving me change has become my new cause for complaint.

there is a light saying "no change" but it wasn't on when I used it and still isn't yet no money came out and my credit has gone.

bye bye 40p.

:(

Have you spoke to the people who refill it? It will also have a sticker on it about who runs them.

Yup, left a message. We will see, just a bit of a rant really but imagine how much companies make by "not giving change" on vending machines and parking meters etc.

I am making a stand.
