Hi All,

Im going to be buying a "Verso Delphi" HTPC from OcUK for XMas. Can anyone suggest what media player software would be best to ensure hardware acceleration is on and working at its best? Also, are there any settings within Win7 itself I should know about?

Im going to be playing blu ray m2ts's and would like to learn a bit before it arrives so I can hopefully get it playing as smooth as possible straight out of the box.

Any advice appreciated. : o )

There is currently only one media player worth having. XBMC.

And no you do not need to do anything special in Windows7.

The latest build is the Dharma RC4 with is very stable (I have never had a problem) and with the graphic card doing nearly 100% of the work for HD media content it is really a pleasure to work with. I found that various remote controls worked out the box with Win7 and the XBMC.

No need in getting Windows 7 at all really... just use XBMC with Linux, it's exactly the same if not more configurable and a lot lighter.

Very true - however the OP did mention that he was using Win7, and for some Linux is a bit daunting at first.
