So many people seem to be complaining about there vertex 2 drives needing a firmware update. Now i don't know why ive never needed to change mine. But just for the sake of it i thought i would try anyway. Had mine about a year.

So i ran Ssdlife and it says 100 percent health which is great. I downloaded my firmware updater toolbox on OCZ site and ran it. My firmware is 1.29.
I tried running it and it says

ERROR - Cannot perform this operation on primary drive, please boot from another drive . So is there a way to do this in bios guys?

Thanks

Don't think that people are complaining about needing a firmware update but as the latest one claims to have a fix for the main problem that seems to have affected vertex 2's (drive going into a panic lock after computer enters/exits sleep mode) then it seems a wise thing to update on a new drive!

Yes I have a similar post about not being able to update my drives firmware, its brand new, detected fine but I get an error when using the toolbox to update. it says the update has been rejected or something.
