Vertex PX 1200w with the 12VHPWR cable

I have this PSU. So the old revision and not the one with the 12V-2x6 cable.

I am not using the cable at the moment but I am eyeing the upcoming RTX 5090. So, I wonder, should I get the native 12V-2x6 cable from Seasonic or use the one I have since I read they are backwards compatible? You know, to have the piece of mind

But then, wont the old 12VHPWR be better for my PSU since Seasonic said the connector on the new revision is also different.

I am so confused and I dont know what to do.

I run a few Seasonic PSUs. Two in question here are Vertex GX1200, which I have both moved over to the new 12V-2x6 with the blue end plugs.

I have the following cables:

Both are a straight replacement for the OE ones.

Did they come with the 12VHPWR originally? Do you have any issues with the new cables?
