Vertex on paper and even better in practise (drive performs better than spec according to people who got the test samples) is the choice for system disk.
Price is OK, and performance is second to none (based on test units).

Vertex is an actual product. They used the experience of early adopters and random designs to perfect it.
People with test samples say all the "problems" are gone and that OCZ found the magic formula of controller/cache/components.
I trust vertex will be good, but only experience I got is with the generic first gen and still as I said access time of SSD in daily life is what makes the difference.
Vertex offers transfer speed + almost instant access time so is a win/win tbh.
