vertex3 installed dropped WEI

hi all
i installed my vertex3 120gb ssd @ weekend loaded a fresh copy in win7 64bit anyway once windows was booted and running i decided to run WEI and the ssd scored 7.9 (which i was expecting) however my graphics scored 1.0 and i realsed my gtx480 drivers needed installing anyway installed the gpu and re-ran the WEI and my graphics scored 7.9 however the drive score dropped to 7.8 why is this? how can i get it back up to a 7.9?

i know it means jack but i am one of these anal people who like to see the best score possible :-)

The drive's speed will reach a "settled in" state after a certain amount of writes (mainly incompressible writes), which will be slower than the "brand new" or "just secure erased" state. Any benchmarking that involves incompressible writes will speed up this process, including running WEI.

i know a few people who have these and had them in for a few months and still obtain a 7.9 score. any suggestions in a way to increase it by 0.1?

I've got a Vertex 3 120GB and mine benchmarks at 7.8 in WEI. However, I really wouldn't put any credence into the results. There are dedicated programs for testing SSD performance.
