When I got my flat they were all unconnected and crap. Git a kit and sorted it but it's still not great. Got 3 missing too. Any recommendations for cheap made to measure ones that are quality and a little heavier and darker than normal. Need 36 of them.

It's an opinion, but vertical blinds scream office to me. Horizontal blinds say home. Hump pads should have velvet curtains.
My wife has the same opinion so we have Venetian blinds. I suffer with massive glare on my monitor from about 3pm onwards until the sun goes down
Vertical blinds FTW IMO.Yeah I know what u mean. But it's a massive bay window. If it was mine I'd probably try them pull down rollers or something.
But yes curtains. Got the brackets all ready . No rail though. Is it all one size fits all? Can I just get a rail and be sound or do I need to inspect the brackets

Maybe all blinds are flawed! My old vertical ones came with the house and they were a texture white type which even when almost fully closed still let in a good amount of light. My current Venetian ones are dark brown and need to be pretty much fully closed to stop the glare, but then the room so dark I need a light on.. 
Maybe curtains would be the answer, I would only need to close one to shield the monitor from glare.
