I actually do totally the opposite, all the windows up and my climate control set to 19. If I put the windows down in this weather, especially around where I live, my hay fever will start to really hit me. I kind of like the quiet serenity of being cocooned in a climate controlled sound proofed (to a degree) environment, watching everything through glass. My only real connection to what is going on outside is with the road, through the steering wheel and the muted rasp of my exhausts somwhere behind me.

Half the fun of having a ragtop was driving it in the dead of winter or when its chucking it down with rain with the roof down, the amount of funny looks you get is soooooo amusing. What they fail to understand is inside your little cab everything is nice and warm, only issue i had is the MX-5 heater tends to cook your legs.

19c makes my ocd cry :(

16 or 18 or 20.

Lol, I used to be like this, I could use 20c on the BMW and then use the secondary rotary controls by the vents to fine tune the temperature, so I could set it to 20c and then nudge it further into the cool. Can't do this with the ST220, I only have the one temperature control, so 20c has been a tad too warm lately and 18 is a tad too cold after a while. So I'm forcing myself to get over it, I'm doing the same with stereo volume also :p ...might as well get out of both while I'm at it.

Topless here on the way home and it was glorious. Forgot though what to do about sun in the eyes as Sunglasses on their own don't really cut it and am a bit reluctant to get a cap as afraid of looking even gheyer ;) :D

You're like me, can't have odd numbers on anything! The stereo has to be on 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12, anything in between gives me a nervous tick!

Least i know im not the only freak :D

Boxster time!

Lol, i'd never live a boxster down for various reasons :p

Mines a TBar roof so not quite a convertable but still great fun when the suns out, one thing I hate to see is convertables with the roof down and the windows up they just look horrid.

I had the roof down on the Z4M today on the way home. An hour and a half of glorious sunshine and 22 degrees. Lovely.

Managed to hit 8000rpm through the underpass in Croydon too which always sounds better with the roof down and put a smile on my face that even with the rest of the crappy London traffic couldn't wipe off.

Convertables always sound better with the roof down.

I go under a rail bridge everyday to work, 9200rpm is far to tempting everytime. Although currently I have the standard exhaust on and it still sounds great.

I put the roof down only when its nice and i feel like it. I rarely have it down on the motorway as its annoyingly windy

Stops wind noise.

Still looks crap though, why buy a convertable if you don't like wind noise or tubulance, its just a pet hate I have as it totally ruins the look of the car to have the windows up, and those awful mesh wind deflector things yuk, if your scared of ruining you fancy hair do stick to a tin top

Because with the windows up its still open air and still an absolute pleasure. But you get the bonus of not looking as if you had just got out of bed when you arrive, and your other half doesnt tell you to put the roof up as its wrecking hers.

Been loving the weather with my MX5. Been top down all the time lately, love how my exhaust sounds right now with the top down, getting lots of pops on overrun. I loved having the top down in the middle of the snow though, lots of looks but perfectly warm. :D

I've been driving with the sunroof down a lot, almost no noise gets in though, so I open the windows all the way for the short section on my way to work where I can repeatedly nail it up through 2nd and 3rd. Such a nice howl I get from it these days, very smooth now all the stuff the belt goes round is new.
