been having real issue's with ccc,it was working fine when i put my ssd in a few month's ago but for some reason it wont work now ?

Ive uninstalled everything from ccc and installed the new driver's but it keep's crashing, well i say crashing...i just get a message saying it's not working but ive still got max resolution on my screen.

any idea's what is causing this ?

card in question is a 6870 if that helps and im running windows 7 professional.

Did you you ever use some driver sweeping program on that pc ? Also are you sure your Microsoft .NET Framework is installed and working correctly because CCC requires that to work.

Also make sure the .net framework is set to automatic in the services and 2 maybe disabled as this screenshot of my services shows.

Outch.. okay hate to say this.. but sounds like you need to reinstall Windows mate, something is borked on your current Windows install and will probably take a long time to figure out where and would be quicker to just reinstall windows and save you pulling your hair out. AMD/ATI's CCC is a .net program and if you have made sure .net is running and installed correctly it could be a million other Windows things causing it mate and I don't think you want to go threw dll's and registry settings. Other thing you could do is try make sure windows files have not been tampered with and follow the instructions below.

Run windows update after doing that.

Edited above, just incase you missed the System file checker stuff. If that fails to find anything wrong, reinstall Windows mate. I have seen people have this problem with CCC before and sometimes only a reinstall fixes it.. Don't ask me why only a reinstall seems to fix it...this is ATI/AMD at their best again with their drivers. One of many reasons why I went to Nvidia after my 5870 started to show problems related to the drivers and their constant updates that only added problems not fixes..

My pleasure mate, sorry it still is not working, I was hoping it was .net causing the problem, which in most cases like this it turns out to be .net.

CCC is pretty much impossible to fix after it has gone **** up, I've tried many times, the only thing that worked for me is to system restore, the first time I lost a lot of stuff (program wise). I tried pretty much every way possible from countless forums.

So now I save a restore point every time before I update anything to do with CCC.
