Hey guys, basically i wanted to get a netbook/notebook (not too sure if there's a difference) to use for programming.

Im doing computing coursework and am developing an android and computer program using Eclipse. I don't particularly want to move everyone thing from computer to computer using a USB so i thought i would get a very budget notebook.

A few questions really, Since i want a used notebook, hopefully >£50(if possible, i would do a format and fresh install of windows.)

Just wondering, if an older notebook would be able to run eclipse without too many problems and if im doing the right approach in getting a cheap notebook.

obviously, you can't name competitors but if you have any ideas on notebooks that would be sub £50 then it would be greatly appreciated.

thanks a lot.

If its just a case of you having to copy code around then just use https://bitbucket.org/

You get your own private repos, you just need to install a VCS plugin for eclipse (subclipse/egit) and you can clone/pull/push on how ever many computers you like pain free.

I'm not sure £50 is enough to buy a laptop that wouldnt be a complete ball ache to dev on.
