Very dark tinted number plates - is this a new "thing"?

Lol I was next to some guy at the lights the other day in a poverty spec black A3 with limo tint all over, illegal blacked out tail lights, seat reclined to the max like he was lying down and one hand on the wheel! And the best part he had that stupid German Whip song blurring out. :eek: I felt embarrassed for him.
As for them plates in the op where are people even getting these produced? As most plate manufactures follow strict rules. And they are 100% illegal. You will get all the chav's with these soon so if they hit someone u probably won't be able to read there plate and speed cameras won't pick them up.
You only have to look at all the mullered private plates out there with distorted numbers and spaces to see that the fuzz are not doing anything about them.
 
Should have just splattered mud on the plate, at least it would look more genuine then, and apply some colour to that already primed car.

Probably just sticking film over a legal plate - they probably already own it in bulk for their lights and stuff

Plenty of show plate makers will knock up whatever you like.
 
Same reason people remove the front plate. To avoid most cameras. That is the problem with "automated policing", it's super easy to fool.

I suppose you could achieve the same thing by just never cleaning the plates. At least that one is easier to explain away :P
