Very Good PS3 Game Getting Trophy Patch

I've been kinda denying myself MGS4 and valkyria for a while now cause of the lack of trophies, I played the demo for VC the other night and my cursor is constantly hovering over the buy button now :o
 
Dude, VC is frikkin' ace - don't deny yourself the pleasure just because there aren't any trophies. Chances are that it will never get a patch, but on the off chance that it does, the game has great replay value (imho).

[edit] It's actually stated pretty explicitly in the podcast, at about 15m45s.

I can't say much here - but if you like trophies, and you like really good PS3 games, you should look at ps3.ign.com tomorrow. A very good PS3 game is getting some trophies, that kinda plays into what we're talking about now.

I really am praying for MGS 4, i've replayed it about 4-5 times and it definitely need Trophies. Never tried on-line though, any good?

Enjoy the game for the game, not for the meaningless notification pop-ups.
 
I would, but atm I have a stack of games for xbox and pc, the trophies would provide me with the incentive to play either of them now.

I don't want to buy another game just for the price to go down by the time I actually get round to playing it :o

Is it likely to be less then £17.99 anytime soon ?

My friend is convinced that me and him are having a race, and while it's stupid, I can't let him have the upper hand ! :o
 
VC is £20 from the place I normally go Shopping To :p I'm sure I've seen it for ~£15 a few months back, but I imagine stock is a bit lower now, hence the slight price hike.

Also, by "getting some trophies", they could mean an existing trophy game is getting more trophies - i.e. DLC :(

Not trophy related but I wish Snake wasn't old. :(

I'm only just past the bit where you hook up with Meryl and it's depressing to see her all young and Snake as a bumbling old coot who's stress levels play up any time you get caught in combat. I've loved Metal Gear Solid, Sons of Liberty & Snake Eater and I hope this game picks up to the excellent levels of those 3 as so far this has done a really, really poor job of keeping me gripped. :( :( :(
 
Why have there been no trophies for MGS4 yet. If they added trophies maybe I would buy it again because it was a brilliant game and also the reason I purchased a PS3

It has a rather different atmosphere about it than the previous games did, so it's either something you'll adjust to or just won't get along with I suspect. There were a few aspects I didn't like too much about it the first time I played (although I loved the game overall), but when I played it the second time round during my MGS marathon (played through all the games, 1-4) most of the things I disliked during the first playthrough didn't actually bother me.

The first few parts of the game are a bit linear, but it gets more interesting later on.
 
I'm not really too bothered by MGS4 trophies, as although it's a brilliant game, it never really hooked me (I sort drifted away from it after getting annoyed at the Wolf-girl boss fight).

However, I think VC would really benefit from the publicity of a late trophy patch, and as I already said, it has great replay value :)
