Crysis - probably the best FPS single player experience you'll have besides Metro 2033. You're basically a super soldier in a super suit which has 4 'modes'.
Super strength - Can jump large heights, throw objects and people huge distances, eliminates most of the recoil while firing and gives your punches the power to move vehicles/knock down trees.
Super Speed - Greatly increases your movement speed, standard movement speed is around the same speed as your regular sprint speed, applies in all stances (running, sneaking, prone). Makes you slightly less durable.
Maximum Armor - Turns you into a tank, you can absorb several times as many bullets as normal, you can drop from large heights without taking damage but your movement speed is incredibly slow.
Cloak - Constantly drains battery, wears off when your battery is depleted or when a shot is fired, have to be smart & strategic.
You also have the ability to modify your weapons on the fly, attaching and removing flashlights, silencers, red dot sights and tactical under barrel attachments (shotguns, grenade launchers, tranquilizers etc).
The game is still among the best for looks and has a stunning world you can roam around in. The A.I. is very flaky as one second they can be acting like a pack of morons, no more a threat to you than a tropical chicken, the next they'll be pin you under gunfire while their mates flank you, so the difficulty can seem to fluctuate artificially from time to time. Otherwise that really is about the only downside, otherwise it's an incredibly fun shooter, and can feel very strategic later on. Very underrated IMO as the gameplay is regularly overlooked for the visuals and a lot of people wrongly label it a glorified tech demo, there is a serious, fun and engaging single player campaign to experience.
