Much as I'd love to follow up my previous post with a well-reasoned argument as to why your first post wasn't desperately intelligent, Gibbo has saved me the effort. Go read some proper tests of the Saleen cars, you'll see that they pretty much all agree with his experience.
As for European cars and handling - Vauxhall Vectra anyone? Ah, but not all European cars handle like that.....just as not all American cars handle like the QE2

Not my daily driver yet, as my Seicento does the job much better in city traffic. Will drive it more once I'm out of Coventry. As for the low-rider plan, I could....or I could go through with a plan I'm slowly refining while I save up the money and build a hot small-block engine for it (with none of the emissions control crapola), sort out the underpinnings and leave the old girl looking stock and ratty. Much better idea, and it'll surprise the BMW/Audi/Merc brigade when their Wehrmacht staff car gets itself sucked in through my inlet manifold.
