Very interesting program on the Bugatti Veyron

Great program... the narrator is a bit of a tool but still very enjoyable :)

I can't argue with either of those points, brill program and yes the narrator is a tool at times. I would say though you need to change the title of the thread. Would appear its actually a Boogati Veyron.

I still don't quite get how the think the engine actually has 3000bhp but lost 2000 due to heat..

It's about engine efficiency. basically all petrol engines can get something from 20% to 30% efficiency, whereas diesel ones can even reach 40%.
A google after "engine efficiency" will set more light on that subject if you're interested.

As for the videos, they are great, and the veyron is indeed a fantastic car. Sure there are plenty of cars with more power out there, but they are simply unusable on anything but straight lines, reliability is close to zero, etc.

To make something so powerful and at the same time so refined and elegant is truly an art.

Really cool video

But seriously, would that guy really be tig welding the chassis with a $5 fixed shade welding mask? Would he REALLY? :D

I dare you to post that in the comments part of the video and then challenge you to uphold that view under a barrage of "Veyron is ****, SSC is the win because its faster." without wanting to go into your monitor and beat every single one of them to a pulp for being so ignorant. I have a pack of biscuits for you if you can :D

there's no point in fighting that many keyboard warriors who generally don't even have a driver's license...

I forgot to mention they are Bourbon biscuits  Just been watching a NatGeo documentary on Sky Player and like the Veyron video they seem overly keen to subtitle even the most fluent of English speakers just because they are European.
