Very low FPS on Fear

I am again trying to figure out why FEAR will not run on my pc at anything over 16FPS average. I have put all the settings at medium and in the tests i can only get an average of 16fps and a max of around 22FPS. of course it will run with everything at LOW but the graphics are so bad.

These are my specs-

Asus A8n SLI premium

AMD X2 3800+

Twin 7800gt 256mb (Sli config)

2gb Crucial Ballistix RAM

Sound Blaster Live 5.1

Hiper Type R 580w

I am looking at the performance display on my keyboard and when the game is running at low FPS the CPU is only working at 48% and the RAM at 55%. I can run other games such as COD2 on highest settings and Half life 2 on max settings and there is no FPS issues.

What resolution are you playing in? Any AA/AF?

FEAR is an extremely demanding game and even 7800GT-SLI will struggle if you are running above 1600x1200 with 4xAA 16xAF.

That said your scores do seem a bit on the low side, have you patched the game to the latest version and installed the latest drivers?

think its dual core/sli issues iv heard of, try assigning the game to 1 core and try again

Fear doesn't suffer from dual core problems, at least I haven't experienced any. Dunno what the problem is with his setup though.
