Very Odd freezing problem, not sure where to start!

I built myself a sandybridge comp earlier this year and its been fine until now...

If I start up and play a game or something its fine, plays for hours no problem.

If i just do some work or go on the net, it freezes after 5 mins, all I can do is move the mouse, ctrl alt del just sends the screen black!

Any ideas?

You done a virus scan?

yup all clear, windows 7 64 bit too if it helps and amd 6970

Have you tried chkdsk on drives? (not sure if it works on SSD actually, may need to find another healthchecker) in case one of your work programs is on a bad sector/memory chip?

Solved it finally... My Ram didn't like 1.5v upped to 1.6v and all is fine
