I have and it never goes over 2.5gb. I thought that was the issue at first but when running Afterburner I could monitor that and CPU/GPU use.

Afterburner and other GPU monitoring programs can cause framerate issues in VR games. It's recommended you don't use them while playing in VR.

Ive tried with and without, no change.

I've tried it with minimal programs running other than essentials, again it is the same. I almost tired a clean install of windows last night but ran out of enthusiasm after installing windows on another drive. Maybe I'll complete it tonight but I'm feeling like it isn't worth the bother.

Is it only PCars 2 your having issues with?

Where is that file located please? I can't see it in the root folder or in documents/project cars2

I think I have solved it. It was being caused by my wheel. It is an ancient Saitek R440. I disconnected it and used my xbox controller and it was smooth. Not ideal but better than nothing.
