Very quick question: what filter size does kit D50 lens take?

I think it's 58mm but not 100% sure, also if I buy other lenses is 58mm a fairly universal size for filters?

My Sigma 18-55 (equivelant of kit lense) and 70-300 APO are both 58mm, but my Sigma 50mm Macro lense is 55mm.

The 18-55mm kit lens has a 52mm attachment

The 18-70mm lens (sometimes described as the kit lens, I think) has a 67mm attachment

Ok, does anyone think it's worth buying the D50 body only and then buying some other 18-50mm? (price upto £110)

The kit lens is very capable (18-55) good colour, good contrast levels. I use it when I cant be bothered to swap lenes all the time.
