Very quiet PSU

I have a corsair 450, and it's almost silent, if I stop all the fans in my case breifly, I can just hear the slight hum of the PSU. I don't know what the other ones are like, but if they're anything like mine, it's great

I use a 750W Be-Quiet Dark Power and while I wouldn't say its silent, it is very quiet, similar in sound levels to an Antec Apache.

I currently have a corsair hx 750 (and my brother has one) which are very quiet you can barely here it, before this i had an enermax noisetaker 600 watt, a enermax infinity 720 watt and a be quiet 750. Out of all of them the enermax infinity 720 seemed the quietest and the be quiet the loudest (the fan made a ticking noise) but there is very little between them.

It is difficult to tell from reviews and oppinions as noise is subjective.

I have a corsair in one rig and a zalman in the other, out of them would definetly go for the zalman

I have the zalman heatpipe cooled 1000W. Virtually silent, can't hear it. Even has a button to absorb certain frequencies to reduce any vibrations from the compoments.

Decided

I am buying the seasonic X650 gold.

I sold 2 domain names for $180 profit yesterday so that about covers it.

Thanks for all comments and input,

andy

I am using a Corsair 450w modular and a Seasonic X-650. The Seasonic X-650 is silent, fan only ever comes on when it gets very busy and toasty, and even then it's quiet, wonder if the fan has ever spun at times?
