I have never been to a festival where you have to camp (have just stayed up instead) but I have heard the music at festivals like V and Leeds fest gets turned off around 11pm.

A mate told me at Leeds fest there is a tent with music in that keeps going until around 4am. However I have heard off a mate who did V last year that there is no music in the camp ground either

What are you expected to do after 11pm when everyone is still wide awake? How much does a mini generator cost that could run some half decent sized speakers, or is there any other options?

Dont get me wrong I love my sleep and like a good 9 hours during the week. But when i will be spending more than £300 and taking 2 days off work for 2 nights I expect to be not going to bed at 11pm or chilling out.

Mobile disco sounds great, anyone else going to V? I will be taking my poi (fire and glow) for some campsite safety fun! Do you think i will be allowed in the campsite with Kerosene? You must be - I could just say its for a bbq

Staffordshire. Yep, its in plastic bottle. Is no glass allowed at all, so vodka etc into plastic bottles? Seems like a very good idea as i dont fancy chopped up feet

It's the same at Glasto which has put me off now. I went to Glade this year because the music stops at 6am not 12am. Sleep is for the weak ... ;)

I thought about doing Glade but need to be broken in slowly, going to a 6 day dance event probably isnt a great idea as ive only been going to 1 or 2 day ones

Yup all in plastic. You're not allowed to take drinks through to the arena either... unless you're my girlfriend, and you stuff a hipflask of vodka in your pants between your thighs :/

Do you get searched going in? I will refuse to buy vodka redbull inside as i imagine itll be ££ a drink

A good tip for getting booze in is to buy those boxes of wine, take the foil bag out and tape it somewhere like the inside of your thigh. Works every time! Wine does me in badly though so I have to take my time. :)

I met a guy in Nz (big day out) who had a wine bag strapped to thigh. His was better, he had drank the wine and put a hole in the bag then filled it with vodka and orange, then he taped up the hole. Genious!

I would try it but they usually pat down your thighs on entry (or they do at gatecrasher, creamfields, global and other other big dance nights ive been on)

It's worth it for the 4 quid you lose if you get busted though - they just take it off you!

That's an awesome idea by the way haha!

Just over 12 hours to go before I set off! Woohooo! Excitement! :)

an hour n half left of work before i go home, grab all my crap (see other thread) and head to notts to chop up fire wood then get car in the morning.

cant wait

I can't believe the 'youth' of today! There's something seriously ****ed up if you have to ask what to do at a festival.

Sorted, my mates taking a portable cd player from his work. Though personally i would have wanted an 80s style boombox. Will Smith on shoulder style.

Can you still buy them?
