Today i finally got myself a xbox 360 premium which i said i would get some time ago and so far from what i have seen i am impressed , i like the dashboard layout and connecting to live is very painless and i cant wait to play PG3 but i arnt getting it til next week anyway i will probably be using a 17" LG LCD widescreen tv and wanted to know how much better the picture would be if i buy a vga cable for it ??? i did download the need for speed most wanted demo to compare with my pc and to be honest they look very similar and that is only with the standard scart .

When i get sorted out you ocuk 360 users can give me a thrashing on PG3 my gametag is MIKEL11 .

It's a lcd tv that has a vga connection so you could use it as a monitor also , i know it can run @ 1024 x 768 if used as a monitor if that help any ???

The cable can work at 1024*768 so you should be all right.

Sorry for the noob questions but am i going to see much difference if i use that res ??? i will buy one anyway i think because they arent that pricey .

cheers crunchman i wont be buying lots of games for it but what games do you recommend ??? i am getting PG3 next week and i bet forza 2 will be ace when it comes out , is fifa and tiger 2006 any good ??? had a look at your gametag tomb raider might be one to get .

I found the manuel and this is the spec using the D-SUB

One last question does it matter which cable you buy or are they all the same , microsoft , joytech etc ??? .

Well i managed to buy one from game yesterday and i have to say the difference in the picture is amazing , even just in the dashboard everything is so much sharper than the standard cable , i am able to run @ 1024 x 768 in widescreen with my 17" LCD TV , what do people on here do network wise ?? do you use a router ?? or use a diiferent method , i have a ntl cable modem and was thinking of using a windows ics connection , the posty delivered PG3 this morning so i had a quick bash this afternoon and it looks great well pleased , looking at some peoples gamescores on ocuk i think i have some major catching up to do .

I was waiting for someone to say that , are there many newbies playing PG3 on live ?? dont want to take any experts on just yet .

As i have said in this thread i use 17" LG LCD TV @ 1024 x 768 widescreen with the VGA and the difference is huge compared to the standard cable , without knowing your LCD spec its hard to say but i would imagine that your screen could run @ 1280 x 768 which would give a exellent picture .

WotDa i wouldnt mind a blast on PG3 with you sometime .
